Quickie Birthday Cards

I needed to make a large batch of birthday cards for two friends of mine the other day. They both needed to get them quickly, so I needed an idea that I could easily make multiples of and that wouldn't take too much time. Have you seen those cute cards that look like they have shopping bags on them? I love them myself and have made a good number of them already, so I knew that would be just the ticket for what my friends wanted. Now you could probably make these cards using just about any Designer Series Paper that you have on hand. But I have two friends that love purple everything! Luckily I still had some retired Tea Party DSP and retired Lavender Lace cardstock around to make these cards in their favorite colors. So here they are...

Stamps: On Your Birthday
Cardstock: Lavender Lace, Whisper White, and Crumb Cake with Tea Party Designer Series Paper
Ink: Lavender Lace
Accessories: 1 1/4" Square and 1 3/8" Square Punches, Scallop Edge Border Punch, Modern Label Punch, Designer Label Punch, Hemp Twine, Sticky Strip tape, and little bits of tissue paper

See how simple these are to make? Just pick out a grouping of DSP that coordinates and start punching away. I will admit that I used different prints on the bags as I went along assembling these little bags. It was so much fun choosing 3 that went together. Almost as much fun as actually shopping for cute little bags!! But not quite. I guess we'll save the shopping for another day....

Are you ready for the holiday weekend? I'm so excited - my brother, SIL and one of their daughters are coming to visit. They'll be here shortly, so I've got to run! Have a safe and wonderful holiday weekend whatever you do! Who knows, maybe you can even find some time to stamp!
Happy stamping,
Sharon
